Youth Workshops

Creative experiences with purpose

Paint Love partners with schools and youth-serving organizations to bring professional artists and meaningful arts experiences directly to young people. Through hands-on workshops and ongoing residencies, we use creativity to explore ideas, build skills, strengthen connections, and support social and emotional well-being. Our programs follow a Trauma-Informed Art Model to ensure every child feels safe and heard.

Art & Mental Health Workshops

These in-depth residencies bring professional artists and hands-on creative experiences to organizations serving young people with specific needs. Across a series of sessions, participants explore different art forms and materials while engaging in creative experiences designed to complement their organization's therapeutic goals.

Each residency is tailored to the population, setting, and goals of our community partner. While not clinical therapy, these experiences use art intentionally to support expression, connection, exploration, and well-being.

Arts Enrichment Programs

We partner with schools and youth-serving organizations to bring meaningful arts experiences to young people who may have limited access to arts education. Whether you’re looking to enrich an existing after-school program or bring art-making to a setting without a dedicated arts program, Paint Love helps make creative exploration possible.

Professional artists lead engaging, hands-on projects that introduce young people to different materials, techniques, and ways of expressing themselves. Programming can be shaped around your schedule, setting, and the needs of your community.

Year-Long Thematic Arts Residencies

Our year-long residencies bring a shared creative theme to life through hands-on art-making, literature, and social-emotional learning. Designed in collaboration with nonprofit partners, these experiences invite young people to explore big ideas, discover new perspectives, and build connections through art.

Featured theme: Artists Are Everywhere

This curriculum celebrates identity and diversity by introducing young people to artists across cultures, races, ages, art forms, and places around the world. Through books and projects inspired by artists from different backgrounds, participants explore a wide range of creative traditions while building self-awareness, curiosity, and appreciation for others.
