Wonder Together: Family Engagement Series

join us for family art workshops in Atlanta!

Hey Atlanta families! Grab your kids as we hang out and make art together. Paint Love’s Family Engagement Programming offers opportunities for adults and children to engage in meaningful play, develop skills together for positive communication, and build strong attachments to family and community members. Our program equips kids and the village of people who care for them with skills that promote curiosity, self-reliance, and independence.

Our Upcoming Series:

Art + Play

As a family, join us for a four-part art-making series that explores how to move your body and create expressive art! Examine the different ways that we play by ourselves and with others. Sessions will be led by Paint Love's Family Programs Manager, educator, and artist Chloe Young, alongside community leaders in the world of play. During each session, adults and kids will learn a new co-regulation activity to do together, make art, and share in new ways. Together, we will build a creative toolkit that supports healthy communication around feelings. Lunch is provided!

This is a 4-part series. The dates are as follows:

  • Saturday, February 10th, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

  • Saturday, February 24th, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

  • Saturday, March 9th, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

  • Saturday, March 23rd, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

*Your ticket covers your attendance to ALL FOUR DATES.

This program is designed for kids ages 7-15 and adults! Groups may not exceed 5 individuals.

What do we do at the workshop?

We Gather

To start off the day, we build community by gathering together and sharing a meal before we begin the art activity.

We Calm Down

Then, we work together to learn a new relaxation activity designed to acknowledge and share calm feelings with one another.

We Make Art

Kids and adults will create a beautiful piece of art together while having guided conversations around becoming empathetic people.

We Reflect

At the end, we spend time reinforcing what we learned about empathy and build a creative toolkit made of tips and tricks to use at home!

We can’t wait to make art with you!
