CHEE STRONG:
Apalachee High Mural

Paint Love partnered with Apalachee High School and Atlanta artist Elaine Stephenson (Artsy Elaine) to create a collaborative mural honoring the school community and remembering the four educators and students lost in the 2024 tragedy. Developed with input from students, faculty, and families, the mural features flowers and symbols of hope, renewal, and remembrance. Over nine days, 375 students and 75 faculty, staff, and parents helped bring the artwork to life, each contributing to a shared expression of care and connection. Located near the hallway where the shooting occurred, the mural transforms a once-somber space into a vibrant tribute to those lost and to the community’s strength.

Through this collective creative process, Paint Love helped create a lasting reminder that hope, love, and connection endure even in the face of profound loss.
