The YWLP works to foster creativity and self-expression through artwork. On September 16th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at New American Pathways, 2300 Henderson Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA 30345, they would like an artist to lead an art project with their young women.  Penny Treese will be leading an encaustic wax project and we are looking for additional volunteers to help!

This will be a time that the mentors at the YWLP and students get to know each other and learn about each other. The YWLP teens are interested in female empowerment, being advocates against domestic violence, love all forms of art, and sharing their culture.

The Young Women’s Leadership Program (YWLP) prepares 21 high school refugee girls from Clarkston, GA for success through adult mentoring and educational programming.
