With the mission of empowering kids and teens after the death of a parent of sibling, Kate’s Club offers top quality social and therapeutic programming designed specifically for grieving children and their families. Kate’s Club has developed therapeutic programming to help children and teens establish healthy support systems and develop the necessary skills to cope effectively with their grief.
Georgia Center for Child Advocacy
GCFCA serves children and their families when there are allegations of child abuse, neglect, or when children are witnesses to violence. They help various agencies such as law enforcement, DFCS, and the DA's office coordinate services for children and families by providing forensic interviews for children, hosting multi-disciplinary team meetings to share information, and providing therapy for children and adolescents ages 3-17 when the abuse or neglect has been substantiated.
Our House breaks the chains of homelessness by providing quality early childhood education and comprehensive support services for families who are experiencing homelessness. Through housing support, family services, employment training, and early childhood education for infants through pre-school, Our House offers children and families experiencing homelessness the tools, support, and education they need to thrive. By tackling homelessness at its source, they help the generation experiencing homelessness today, and break the cycle for those most likely to experience it tomorrow.
Wellspring Living For Girls
Wellspring Living helps Domestic Sex Trafficking victims (DMST) develop the courage to move forward and the confidence to succeed. Wellspring Living For Girls is a residential program serving girls 12-17 who are survivors of DMST. The program offers a continuum of care including therapy, education, and life skills classes, designed to foster holistic change in the life of each survivor.
Women's resource center- camp peace
The WRC's mission is to create a society in which domestic violence no longer exists. They strive to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the diverse community of battered women and their children with programs that promote safety, compassion, connection, advocacy, and prevention. Camp Peace is their summer program for kids whose lives have been affected by domestic violence.
The mission of Jesse's House is to provide safe and structured care in a nurturing environment to at-risk girls in order to adequately prepare them for life. The shelter serves high risk girls between the ages of seven and seventeen who are referred from the Department of Family and Children’s Services or Department of Juvenile Justice; strives to reunify the residents with their families whenever possible; and provides a safe house until permanent placement is found.
Wilderness Works- City Camp provides at-risk children a place to find caring adults and fun activities that teach and reach. Their mission is to empower and enrich disadvantaged and at-risk children living in urban Atlanta with year-round experiential education, recreation and outdoor adventure. Wilderness Works is a youth development agency serving homeless and disadvantaged children living primarily in Dekalb and Fulton counties.
