Rachel Clark, Painter
Rachel Clark grew up in a house filled with art. Her father, Carroll Shope, is an accomplished portrait artist in East Tennessee and her sister, Rebecca, is a freelance artist in NYC. Rachel, however, didn't begin painting until she was 38, helping to design and complete murals in Perimeter Church in Johns Creek. That led to commissioned work in homes and businesses. She now paints primarily on a much smaller scale in acrylic and oil, especially enjoying painting animals and people. For the past 6 years, Rachel has taught art to children at Perimeter Academy of the Arts, Perimeter School of the Arts at Perimeter Christian School and from her home studio in Johns Creek. She also enjoys teaching adult classes in her home.
